Unit Cost in I/C Bills of Material

We are using Sage Accpac 500 ERP Version 5.4a. What is the purpose of Unit Cost field in I/C Bills of Material?

We checked the sage accpac ic getting started.pdf in the online documentation for reference but there is no Unit Cost field under the I/C Bills of Material (To add a bill of material:, page 215 to 216).

There are several differnt costing methods available in Accpac IC. If the component item has the User Specified costing method the Unit cost of the item can be entered on the BOM (and should be entered)
