    Gl batch error

I have an error when I print the "Gl provisional posting journal errors" : Invalid input: Functional amount 1111.1234 is not stored in the correct currency format. The currency's number of decimal places stored in the table should be equal or less than the number of decimal places stored in Common services.

    My Setup in common services

both functional and source currency have 2 decimal places.

Accpac 5.4 A with latest services packs.

let me know how to fix this. thank you.

Contact your business partner.  You need some minor data surgery.

    Thanks,

I can understand minor surgery for the current data. But what is the solution for preventing this from occurring in the future.

    Thanks

It has to do with multi-currency amounts.  Sometimes rounding causes it to go to 3 decimal places, instead of trucating to 2.  It's been a reported bug.

    Thanks,

    Jim

Do you have an estimated time frame for a fix on this issue? Can you tell me what would be the best option to fix the current data? I did have some solution from my business partner but I’m not completely comfortable with it.

    Thanks

What was his/her solution?  It might be the best one.

Sorry, I don't work for Sage.  You'll need to contact them if you're looking for a fix.

    Thanks,

    Jim

Can someone please tell me what to do to get a fix for this issue? It is really frustrating.

    Thanks

    Re: Gl batch error

But you said you already had a fix from your business partner.

    Re: Gl batch error

It is a manual solution and it is one to correct the current data. Nothing was offered to me to prevent this issue from happening in the future.

Therefore I consider her solution has a no-solution because I can't continuously go to the table to fix the data. I need serious help.

    Re: Gl batch error

    1. Which subledgers do you use?

    2. Exactly which service packs?

    3. Any custom programming or imported transactions?

    Re: Gl batch error

It is for OE subledger and I have GL5.4A-SP1 and OE5.4A-SP1. No custom programming, no imported trans.

    Re: Gl batch error

GL should be SP2.  OE (and IC and AR and AP) should be SP3.

I don't know, but you have nothing to lose.  FWIW, none of my clients have this rounding problem, but all of my clients are up to date on their service packs.
